The aim of the
workshop is to reflect on the impact of Web 2.0 technologies/platforms in
Government
[such as blogs, social bookmarking, wikis, podcasts, RSS feeds, social
software, web application programming interfaces, online web services, insight
communities, open source, etc.] on the creation of public value.
We will discuss the challenges of Web 2.0 posed to (a) the state as the classic
locus of identity and provider of public goods, (b) the opportunities it
provides for Government, and (c) problems implementing Web 2.0 applications in
Government. The workshop is open to faculty and students. The following
questions will guide the discussion through the day:
